Terms Of Use
Last updated: June 1st 2026
The short version
AltSounds.tv is a free music-video discovery service. We don’t host the videos — we organize them and point you to them on YouTube. You don’t need an account to watch. We collect very little about you, and most of what powers your experience never leaves your browser. These Terms explain the deal between you and us. Please read them.1. Who we are
AltSounds.tv (the “Service”) is operated by AltSounds Ltd, 151 Grove Street, Clifton, NJ 07013, USA (“AltSounds,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.2. What the Service is — and what it isn’t
AltSounds is a curated guide and database for music videos. The videos themselves are hosted by third parties — primarily YouTube — and are played through their embedded players. We do not host, store, or stream the video content itself. We organize, index, and present metadata (artists, directors, genres, decades, and related information) and provide tools to discover and play videos that are publicly available on those third-party platforms. When you play a video, you are also interacting with that third party’s player and are subject to their terms and privacy practices. Your use of YouTube-powered features is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using the Service, you confirm you meet these requirements.4. Accounts and the waitlist
The Service does not currently offer public user accounts. You can browse and watch without registering. If you join our waitlist, you provide an email address and an optional indication of which future tier (Free, Plus, or Pro) interests you, so we can notify you when accounts become available. Joining the waitlist creates no account and no obligation on either side. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle that email.5. Acceptable use
We keep the rules short. When using the Service, you agree not to:- Scrape, harvest, crawl, or systematically extract our database, metadata, or other content except as expressly permitted in writing;
- Use bots, scripts, or automated means to access the Service in a way that burdens our infrastructure or circumvents rate limits;
- Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with security or access-control features, or probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- Reproduce, republish, or redistribute substantial portions of our curated database or metadata as a competing product;
- Misuse the “Report video” tool or submit deliberately false reports;
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to infringe anyone’s rights.
