Royal & Toulouse, from Birmingham, AL, will be releasing their upcoming album on 7/22 at the Bushwick Public House followed by a show on 7/23 at Rockwood Music Hall.
The Brooklyn show will also feature Kayti Didriksen (www.drawcrowds.com), a Brooklyn artist that is currently the resident artist for the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra. Kayti is a blind contour artist that created the cover to the album “Shake That Reputation”. The band will have the painting on display (48” x 60”) at Bushwick Public House before the show starts with a meet and greet with Kayti Didriksen. The video was recorded in East Nashville by Joshua Shoemaker, a film maker that was recently featured in the Wall Street Journal, Rolling Stone and many more music and news outlets.
Royal & Toulouse celebrates its southern roots and the sounds that influenced its members (Milyn Satterfield Little- vocals, Christian Herring- guitar, Ricky Little- bass, Dylan Johnson- drums). The band surrounds the listener with New Orleans blues riffs, commands the stage with Texas swagger, and anchors the songs with Birmingham heart.
