Much-talked-about Michigan four-piece, KING 810 have premiered their new video for ‘eyes (sleep it all away)’.
KING 810 were originally slated to play this weekend’s Download Festival as part of a European summer festival run, but unavoidable logistical circumstances have prevented that happening. The band stated “We were trying to make this work, but some unforeseen shit at home will keep us in the States at this time. We apologize to everyone who’ll miss us, but we plan on making the best of the situation, going home and working on more music videos and more content for y’all. We will make it back over there as soon as possible.”
‘eyes’ is taken from their eclectic and critically lauded ‘Memoirs of a Murderer’ album, which is available at iTunes and Amazon.
In radical contrast to the album’s incendiary, ‘in-your-face’ lead tracks, ‘Killem All’ and ‘Fat Around The Heart’, ‘eyes’ will confuse many who thought ‘extreme’ was all the the Flint, MI band were about. The album tracks piece together in a sonically diverse and complex narrative that not only encompasses the violence of their home city and the upbringing of frontman, David Gunn, but also themes of love, art and the esoteric. ‘eyes’ is a reflection of this side of the band.
In another illustration of the band’s artistic diversity, KING 810 recently completed an extensive US tour with rapper Tech N9ne, following a lengthy stretch of touring with friends and labelmates Slipknot across the US, Europe and on Australia’s Soundwave touring festival.
