Brisbane based 5-piece Art of Sleeping have just revealed the video for their latest single ‘Voodoo‘ – one of the first tracks to be lifted from their eagerly awaited debut album ‘Shake Shiver’ – set for release on July 17th via Dew Process / Universal.
Capturing the band’s expansive arrangements and intoxicating lyricism, Art of Sleeping’s latest single ‘Voodoo‘ is a superstitious anthem that sets a sensual soundtrack of unreciprocated heartbreak. Drums rattle, guitar’s soar and an imaginary wind howls as the song recounts a painful, wild love affair.
“The absolute power of something intangible. You fear it. You crave it. You love it. You hate it. Courage or insanity? There is always a madness in love. But without madness it would be calculated and false. I would sooner choose to flail at the mercy of the wind than to be smothered, safe and not feel a thing.” says front man Caleb Hodges on the track.
The debut album ‘Shake Shiver’ is out July 17th on Dew Process.
